Course Section Number of Weeks Report

To reflect the correct number of weeks a section meets, run the Course Section Number of Weeks report in Reporting Services.

Each meeting pattern entered into the Meeting Pattern area on the Coursedog template would be entered on a seperate line.

• The drop down box to the right of Meeting Pattern allows you to check the days of the week this pattern meets.
• The box to the right of Meeting Pattern Start Date allows you to enter the start date of that pattern.
• The box to the right of Meeting Patter End Date allows you to enter the end date of the pattern.
• If you have more than one meeting patter, uncheck N/A not applicable in the Meeting Pattern drop down and uncheck NULL next to the Date boxes for each line you need to use. Continue the first three steps above this for additional meeting patterns.
• Click View Report once each meeting pattern has been entered.
• The results return from this report will need to be entered into the Number of Weeks field in the General Information section of the section template.

For example:

Standard Pattern

• MWF  8:00 A.M. to 8:55 A.M.  08/25/25 – 12/12/25 returns Number of Weeks equals 16.

Multiple Meeting Patterns

• M  8:00 A.M.-8:55 A.M.  08/25/25 – 09/12/25
• WF  10:00 A.M.-12:10 P.M.  09/22/25 – 10/24/25
• This returns Number of Weeks equals 7.
