Module 10: SWOT Analysis & Team Leadership

In this module, you will learn about the SWOT Analysis:  Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats and create a SWOT Analysis.  The SWOT allows you to view the current and future state of your project or team.

Managing team meetings is an important skill for project managers.  Team meetings are conducted differently depending on the purpose of the meeting, the leadership style that is appropriate for the meeting, and the personality types of the members of the team.

How well the project team works together will determine the success or failure of a project.  In regard to how project managers may view the motivation of team members, the project manager must understand what motivates individuals, teams and organizations.

Teams go through a series of developmental stages:  Forming, Storming, Norming, Performing and Adjourning.  Understanding these stages and how to quickly move the team from the Forming stage to the Performing stage will have huge advantages in terms of team performance on a project.
