9 Getting Students Started Right Away
It is recommended to get students logged in and started with Pitchvantage at the start of the course. Below is a sample assignment that can be used that will allow students to get acquainted with the program before submitting a graded assignment. One of the most valuable features of Pitchvantage is the feedback it will provide you on both the delivery and content of your presentation. Please take some time to explore the feedback provided, as this will be very valuable in preparing future presentations!
You will notice that Pitchvantage will give you a score. This score is unrelated to your overall grade. However, you can use the feedback provided to increase your overall delivery and content score.
Assignment: Our first “speech” is not a formal presentation. Rather, it is an opportunity to introduce yourself to the class and your instructor. Additionally, it will allow you to log in and familiarize yourself with the PitchVantge Program.
There is not an assigned time frame for this presentation. Simply introduce yourself by answering the following questions:
- What’s your name?
- Where are you from?
- What do you like to do for fun?
- What do you hope to learn from this class?
