4 Creating your Assignments in Pitchvantage

It is recommended that you save your Pitchvantage page to your bookmarks for easy access.  From here, you will be able to log in and create assignments for your students.

Title: e.g. Self-introduction assignment

Assignment Type: Presentation OR response. (Response has no slides/visual aids)

Choose Room: this is the simulated room students will practice in, from large room size to small. Video conference room is for online presentations in which slides appear during the entire time. This option is recommended if you would like students to have the option to show a slideshow throughout the presentation.

Choose Rubric: add a rubric . You have the ability to add a rubric within PV, but you may also continue to assess speeches using a Talon rubric or whatever format you’re comfortable with. 

Enter Text Description, Enter Video Description, Add Files, Add Links:

Add in more guidelines of this assignment: background information, what students are expected to accomplish, etc. You can add in as many supporting details as you want or keep it simple like this: refer back to LMS for details.

Presentation Type: more Persuasive OR Informative in nature

Audience Type: Technical OR General. The general audience has no in-depth knowledge of the topic. This will determine the type of content feedback the student receives. 

Presentation Duration: e.g. 1 minute 30 seconds

Assignment Due Date: Fixed or Dynamic. Dynamic is more suitable if you do not have strict or fixed due dates for the assignment.
